Veris client shortlisted in The Grocer Gold Awards for third year running.
Introduced in 2017 in support of the major food waste campaign launched by The Grocer, the Waste Not Want Not category is open to retailers and manufacturers whose innovative and collaborative approaches and/or exhaustive investigation of their own supply chain has delivered the most compelling results.
The category is in its third year - and each year a Veris client has been shortlisted against the retailers: 2017 Samworth Brothers, 2018 Belazu Ingredient Company (in two categories!) and this year, Cranswick in the Waste Not, Want Not Award.
Cranswick’s Second Nature sustainability strategy drives positive change in the areas that matter most to colleagues. Food, plastic and energy waste are all issues that are being targeted, measured and acted upon (see more here).
In this category, Cranswick have been assessed against the following criteria:
An overview of the initiative. What is it, when did it launch, and who is it for?
What thinking/insight/problem/opportunity has driven the creation and/or development of the initiative in the past 12 months?
What strategy/solutions have been employed to drive the development of the initiative in the past 12 months?
How was the plan executed?
What were the objectives and what have been the results? Share numerical information in terms of growth, share, consumer or customer engagement, efficiency gains or any other metrics.
Are there any future plans?
The judges scored the applications based on the following:
Innovation | Originality | Creative concept | Execution | Business acumen and results
This year we are keeping our fingers crossed that Cranswick will win on 11 June 2019.
